Chemung County- The Chemung County Youth Bureau is presently accepting applications for Recreation Leader positions for the 2012 SPOT - Summer Program and the 2012 Summer Cohesion Program.
Spot - Summer is a 'drop-in' program, free of charge to any adolescent twelve to fifteen years of age who resides in the Elmira City School District. The program operates for six weeks during the summer from noon to 6:00 pm in the City of Elmira Parks. Recreation Leaders must be at least 18 years old by July 1st for the SPOT - Summer Program and a resident of Chemung County. Candidates must demonstrate experience in working with teens. Strong consideration will be given to those volunteering and working with youth in our community. Recreation Leaders must also be certified in Adult/Child CPR and First Aid by July 1, 2012.
Summer Cohesion is a recreational, educational, and cultural enrichment program for children ages 4-12 in Chemung County. The program operates for six weeks during the summer from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at ten locations throughout Chemung County. Recreation Leaders must be at least 17 years old by July 1st and a resident of Chemung County. Candidates must demonstrate experience in working with children. Strong consideration will be given to those volunteering and working with youth in our community. Recreation Leaders must also be certified in Adult/Child CPR and First Aid by July 1, 2012.
