BAFRC May 2012 Program Descriptions
posted 4/24/2012(NEW) INFANT MASSAGE: Presented by Linda Glaccum, Early Head Start Family Educator, in five sessions, May 2 to May 30 from 3:30—4:30 p.m. at the BAFRC. Infant massage has many benefits including helping the baby relax, providing relief from pain, stimulating the body for healthy growth and development as well as forming strong bonds and trust. Group size is limited. Pre-registration is required by calling Maria at 776-4123 x 5650.
(NEW) INTERNET SAFETY NIGHT: Presented by Melissa Smith, VEW PTA President, on Tuesday, May 15 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the school library. Please join us as we discuss what our children are doing online and how to teach them to be smart, safe, and respectful digital citizens. Child care provided. Pre-registration is required by calling Maria at 776-4123 x 5650.
(NEW) GERANIUM SALE FUNDRAISER: The BAFRC is taking orders for red, pink and white geraniums from Friday, May 4th to Monday, May 14th. The cost is $3.50 per 4.5” pot and provided by Dean’s Greenhouse. Stop by the Center or see a BAFRC board member to place your orders.
Social Butterflies, Little Learners and Story Hour are playgroups for children of all ages and their caregivers. A snack and activity is provided. Early Head Start, Healthy Families Steuben and the Dormann Library sponsor these socialization groups; however, you do not have to be a current participant of these programs in order to attend. Everyone is welcome to drop in! No pre-registration is needed.

Drop-in playtime is available for ALL families.
Enjoy learning areas such as: the infant area, block corner, dress-up area, open-ended art table, kitchen area, sensory table, computer/early literacy station, and book corner!
