(Corning, NY) - - QuickARTS: Community ARTS Money in a Jiffy!, a joint mini-grant program of The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes and The Community Foundation of Elmira-Corning and the Finger Lakes, Inc., was founded to help support a broad range of short-term arts and cultural projects driven by individuals, artists, groups and organizations.
The awards are given three times a year to bolster the efforts, effects and impact of arts programming, accessible to the general public, throughout Chemung, Schuyler and Steuben counties. The next deadline is Wednesday, June 6 for opportunities occurring between June and October, 2012.
Grant amounts range from $50 to $500 and can be awarded for community-based arts and cultural activities including, but not limited to:
Who can apply? Organizations, volunteer groups, libraries, churches, writers, performers, musicians, dancers and visual artists who are full time residents of Chemung, Schuyler and Steuben counties (18 years of age or older).
QuickArts applicants are encouraged to submit proposals in all disciplines. The ARTS Council provides grant writing help and encourages applicants to discuss proposal ideas with the Grants Manager prior to submitting an application.
