FIRST FRIDAYS ART CLUB CONTINUES THROUGH SUMMER

First Fridays Art Club, a popular program at the library, will continue through the summer. As the name indicates, this art club meets the first Friday of each month from 3:30-5 p.m. Sign up is required by calling (607) 936-3713 ext. 503 or by stopping by the Children’s Desk at the library. (First Fridays Art Club is for kids 10 and older.)

The schedule is as follows:

July 6th: Journal Making | Participants will use simple bookmaking techniques and the handmade paper created during the June 1 meeting to create simple journals.

August 3rd: Solar Art | Using natural and manmade objects, participants will make prints on light sensitive paper, using the power of the sun.

September 7th: Crayon Creative Camp | Simple crayons will star in this art club meeting. Participants will learn to make crayon candles, crayon stained glass and new crayons from old ones.
