Steuben County Office for the Aging to Distribute Farmers Market Coupons

The Steuben County Office for the Aging will distribute $20 booklets of Farmer Market Coupons on Tuesday, July 10th from 9 a.m. to noon at the following locations:

Lakeview Apartments Nutrition Site
105 Geneva Street, Bath NY

Office for Aging at the Corning Senior Center Building
1 Park Lane, Corning NY

Office for the Aging at the Hornell Senior Center
20 Broadway Mall, Hornell NY

Coupons can be used to purchase locally grown fruits and vegetables at participating farmers’ markets throughout the area. To receive coupons at any of these three sites, recipients must be Steuben County residents who are aged 60+ and must have income of $1,722/month or less for singles, $2,333/month or less for married couples. Coupons must be picked up in person by the recipient.

Since the number of coupon booklets is limited, they will be distributed on a first-come first-served basis. Any coupons remaining after July 10, 2011 will be distributed from the Bath Office for the Aging in the Steuben County Office Building, 3 East Pulteney Square, Bath NY, 664-2298; the Corning Office for the Aging with address listed above, 936-4661; and the Hornell Office for the Aging also with address listed above, 324-4891.

Because these are being distributed on a first-come first-served basis, please call the office before visiting to check on availability of coupons.
