Hidden Valley 4-H Camp:
Hidden Valley 4-H Camp is co-ed day/overnight camp situated in beautiful Watkins Glen State Park since 1945, our goal is to help campers gain independence, learn new skills, and create lasting friendships. Campers get excited about learning because we promote positive youth development and connect kids to Cornell.
We're an ACA-Accredited® Camp! This is verification from the American Camp Association® that our camp complies with industry-established standards. These standards are recognized by courts and government regulators as the standards of the camp industry. Youth Sheep Show:
The Empire Classic Youth Sheep Show will be held July 7 & 8, 2012 sponsored by The New York Sheep Improvement Project, at the Cayuga County Fair.

We will be offering a "Pot Luck" dinner on Saturday, July 7 after the fitting contest. Hot dogs and buns will be provided. Please plan to bring a side dish to share with your fellow sheep exhibitors and family as we all get to know each other a little better over food and casual conversation. Please plan to bring your own table service (plates and utensils) and chairs.
Red Cross Babysitting Training to Be Offered:

For all-day classes, students are asked to bring a lunch. All course Materials are provided.
COST: With a generous grant from the United Way of the Southern Tier, The American Red Cross is able to offer classes at these location at a cost of $45 to each student. (Regular price, $85)

JAKES Conservation Field Day:
There will be a JAKES (Juniors Acquiring Knowledge, Ethics and Sportsmanship) Conservation Field Day held on Saturday, July 21 at the Bath Rod and Gun Club, 771 Telegraph Road, Bath.
The JAKES Conservation Field Day is sponsored by the Cohocton Valley Chapter and the Canisteo Valley Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation and the Bath Rod and Gun Club. The event is FREE to the public. The JAKES Conservation Field Day is open to youth 17 years and younger and adults are encouraged to take part in the event with their child.
Registration will start at 8 a.m. with the events starting at 9 a.m. and will end at approximately 2 p.m. Activities will include turkey calling, Civil war re-enactors camp, archery, shotgun, trapping and rifle. A light lunch will be provided FREE of charge. A fun-filled day of outdoor activities is planned and includes many "hands on" experiences. Pre-registration is encouraged by completing the registration/release form. Please mail the registration/release form to Jim McGlynn at 5217 Turnpike Road, Bath, NY 14810. Horse Obstacle Clinic:
October Glory Acres LLC presents THE VERSATILE HORSE OBSTACLE CLINIC (mounted police style) on Saturday, July 14th from 10 am - 3:30 pm.
Instruction with Joann Long, multiple time North American and NYS Obstacle Grand Champion. She is National Mounted Poice and Toronto Police Mounted Certified. Riders will work with their mounts in creative sensory and obstacle situations with the emphasis on versatility obstacle challenges using proven police horse training techniques! This clinic will encourage partnership and communication to achieve exceptional trust between horse and rider. Sign up early, these clinics sell out! Pre-registration required by July 3rd.......$145.00/rider or $25/person to audit. Limited Stalls available for $20. The clinic will be conducted in an indoor arena. ALL DISCIPLINES WELCOME!!!!
