Interpersonal Communication Skill Trainings
Interpersonal Communication Skill Trainings begin with a basic introduction to some foundational concepts of conflict theory. Each individual training then uniquely focuses on a skill or set of skills that can be used to shift and repair compromised interaction as well as support effective communication.

  • A. Dealing with Difficult People: Skills for Managing Difficult Interactions and Interpersonal Conflict
  • B. The Art of Proactive Listening: Listening Like a Cow; Following Like a Beagle
  • C. Honoring Our Differences: The Value of Differentiation in Managing Conflict

 

OTHER MEDIATION TRAININGS AVAILABLE:

  • Workplace Mediation Training (3 Day)
    Workplace Mediation Training teaches the basics of mediation theory and skill, and strategies for implementing a mediation process in the workplace.
    (Supervisor-Level Personnel, HR Professionals, Attorneys, Clergy and Social Workers)
  • Elder Mediation Training (3 Day)
    This training teaches the basics of mediation theory and skill with attention given to managing issues of capacity by way of accommodation.
    (Ombudsmen, Adult Protective Services, Offices for the Aging, Assisted Living & Health Dept. Administrators, Social Workers, Clergy, Attorneys and Estate Planners)
  • Mediation Training 101 (1 Day)
    Training presents an overview of the mediation process and can be tailored to specific contexts and settings. How to make an effective mediation referral.
    (Professionals who would benefit from a solid understanding of mediation as a resource for managing conflict in any number of professional / social contexts.)

*CDRC trainings are based on the theoretical premises of Transformative Mediation as articulated by the the Institute for the Study of Conflict Transformation (ISCT) and its flagship publication The Promise of Mediation, Bush, Folger. **** CDRC Training Services are provided at $200/hr. for groups of up to 25 individuals. All Three-day trainings are offered at $350 / individual.
