2010 Human Service Directories

2-1-1 Helpline announces that the 2010 Human Service Directories are now available. The directories include public and private human service agencies that are located in or serving Steuben, Allegany, Chemung, Schuyler & Yates counties (a directory is available for each county). The agency profiles have been reformatted to make them more user-friendly. Each agency’s profile includes contact information and hours of operation, followed by program descriptions. If an agency maintains more than one site, each site lists the specific programs available at that site. Fee and intake information is at the end of each program description, followed by eligibility and volunteer opportunities, if available.

The directories are designed for use by those working in nonprofit human service agencies, from the public sector, education, libraries, law enforcement, and faith based organizations, municipalities, and all those serving the public interest in our region and are available in PDF format. Go to www.211helpline.org and select Publications on the top menu bar to see the available options or dial 2-1-1 and ask a Call Specialist.  The Steuben and Chemung Directories are available at no charge thanks to the support provided by Steuben County and Chemung County Departments of Social Services.
