The New York State Department of Health Cancer Services Program has funding available in most New York counties to provide vital cancer screening services.
Besides availing yourself of the services, they need your help to encourage uninsured men and women to get their age-appropriate cancer screening services. Spread this message to your organization, friends and family.
Those eligible for the screenings include women aged 40-64, and men aged 50-64, who are uninsured or underinsured. Priority populations also include women under age 40 who are at high risk or who have with clinically significant findings for breast cancer, and men and women under age 50 at high risk for colorectal cancer.
Available screenings include Mammograms & Clinical Breast Exams, Pap tests & Pelvic Exams, Colorectal Cancer Screenings, and a Medicaid Cancer Treatment Program.
