First Annual Sexual Assault Awareness & Crime Victims Week Walk

The Victim Services Division will be hosting their first Annual Sexual Assault Awareness & Crime Victims Week Walk/Candlelight Vigil, Saturday April 24, 2010 at the David A. Howe Library Lawn, 155 North Main Street, Wellsville, NY.

Registration for the walk will begin at 9am to be followed by a reading of the proclamations by the Mayor. Sheriff William Tompkins will briefly speak at 10am and the walk will begin promptly after the ribbon cutting scheduled for 10:15. Following the walk the candlelight vigil will begin.

The Victim Service Division operates a residential and non-residential program for victims of domestic violence in Cattaraugus County. Services are also available to all victims of rape and sexual assault in Cattaraugus and Allegany Counties. Programs funded in part by NYS Dept. of Health and NYS Crime Victims Board.
