Special Senior's Farmer's Market Coupon Distribution Sessions Scheduled

The Chemung County Department for Aging and Long Term Care has scheduled additional sessions for distributions of the Farmer's Market Coupon Booklets:

                                                      Friday, August 27
                                      Eastside Farmer's Market from 3 to 4 p.m.

Monday August 30
Villa Serene Apartments from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Tuesday, August 31
Bragg Towers from 12 to 1 p.m.

Wednesday, September 1
Ed Flannery Apartments from 12 to 1 p.m.

You do not have to be a resident of the senior complexes to attend these sessions to receive coupons. The coupons will only be distributed directly to the eligible senior.

Coupons can also be picked up at the Chemung County Department for the Aging and Long Term Care
425 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY Monday through Friday between 8:30 to 3:30.

Any coupons that have not been distributed by September 15 must be returned to the State, but the coupons can be used at any New York State farmer's market through November 15th.

Booklets will only be distributed to Chemung County residents at 60 years of age or older who also meet the following requirements:
1- Monthly income must be at or below these amounts:
 1 person household:  $1,670/month
 2 person household:  $2,246/month
 3 person household:  $2,823/month
2- And currently receiving or eligible to receive at least one of the following: SSI, food stamps, public assistance, or Section 8 housing subsidy.
