Giving Opportunity to Help Those in Japan
posted 3/18/2011We’ve all seen the devastation that the recent earthquake, tsunami and nuclear crisis have caused in Japan. As the news and stories unfold, many more of us are being called to action. The United Way Woldwide Team and the Red Cross have multiple opportunities for all of us to make monetary contributions to those in need throughout Japan.
The Worldwide Untied Way is supporting the Community Chest of Japan. Due to the struggle to develop a structured website, the United Way Worldwide is now accepting contributions on their website for the Community Chest of Japan, and the funds will be directed to the Community Chest of Japan through United Way’s International Donor Advised Giving (IDAG) program.
The American Red Cross has developed an online donation site to support the disaster relief efforts to help those affected by the earthquake in Japan and tsunami throughout the Pacific.
