Allegany County’s 7th Annual Conference on Aging

 

Allegany County Community Partnership on Aging announces this year’s Seventh Annual Conference on Aging.

AWSRHN’s Community Partnership on Aging strives to advance issues that affect the health and well-being of our state’s rural communities, and to promote access and availability of aging services by partnering and collaborating with organizations and associations who share this mission.  Based on the conference theme “The State of Aging” this year we will focus on the following:

 

• State of Confusion- A Panel Discussion striving for economic and healthcare stability in response to changes in healthcare reform

State of Art in Technology- Motivating key stakeholders to embrace livable communities through social            media and healthcare technology

State of Mind- Understanding emotional and cognitive wellness for improved quality of life  

 

They are pleased to announce that Dr. William Thomas, internationally recognized expert and pioneer in livable communities, has accepted our invitation provide an inspirational Keynote Address. Plenary Speaker, Mr. Greg Olson, New York State Office for the Aging Acting Director, will provide insight as to the future and vision of aging services across New York State in his presentation entitled “The State of the State.”
