October is National Family Sex Education Month, also known as Let’s Talk Month. The mission of Let’s Talk is to get families talking about healthy sexuality and relationships. In honor of Let’s Talk, The Palace Theatre in Corning has graciously agreed to host a screening of the new documentary aptly named, Let’s Talk About Sex. The screening will be held on October 11th, 2011 at 7:00pm.
The film takes a revealing look at how America attitudes toward adolescent sexuality affect today's teenagers. I invite your organization or task force to co-sponsor this event with Planned Parenthood of the Southern Finger Lakes and the Palace Theatre.
Being a sponsor requires no monetary commitment. I just ask that you help us with promotion by doing a few simple things. First, hang at least one poster, which will be provided, advertising the event in a public space like your building’s bulletin board or a local business you frequent. Second, e-mail your listserv or even just your organization’s staff to let them know about the event. Finally, come see the film! It’s thought-provoking piece and it’s only an hour long!
To thank you for your support we will add your logo to the promotional materials and offer you a chance to highlight your services at the event. If you’d like to be a sponsor please contact me at 607-962-4686 or via e-mail Christine.mclear@ppsfl.org by August 26th.
