AmeriCorps Kids First Initiative October 2011 Board Report

The new AmeriCorps Kids First Initiative program year officially started last week with Orientation Week.  New members received formal training in CPR/Basic First Aid, Advancing Youth Development, and Workplace Communication.  There were also many team-building activities to facilitate the members getting to know each other/group bonding. Members are at their respective agencies this week starting their year of national service.

For the 2010/2011 program year, 20 full-time, and 1 less-than-full-time members were still serving at local agencies.  In the 2009/2010 program year at this time there were 12 full-time, and 5 less-than-full-time members serving at local agencies.
