Bowl for Kids' Sake

March 25, 2018  12:00 - 4:30 p.m.

Bowl for Kids' Sake is our annual fundraising event for Big Brother Big Sister of the Central Southern Tier. Teams of five bowlers commit to soliciting funds from friends, family, and coworkers to support our local mentoring programs. This is the perfect way for individuals to make an impact on our community - it only takes a little bit of effort to raise the money that is vital to our program’s success. As a “thank you” for your support and enthusiasm, Big Brothers Big Sisters host a celebratory party at your local bowling center. No bowling expertise is required, only the willingness to share in our heartfelt and sincere thanks for helping us transform our community.

Big Brother Big Sister is also seeking team captains. The role of a Team Captain is to recruit four people to join your team, register the team, motivate them to fundraise, and act as a liaison between the team and Big Brothers Big Sisters. All money raised stays local to support our programs in Allegany, Chemung, and Steuben counties.

Kids in our community often confront many challenges—youth violence, high dropout rates, poverty, and drug and alcohol abuse. Safe and meaningful relationships between mentors and children facing adversity give those children the skills and confidence they need to overcome the obstacles and challenges that they face.

Big Brothers Big Sisters’ impact is proven, but our program requires the financial support of people like you. Every dollar raised by you and your team will stay right here to help us build a brighter future for our children.
