Southern Tier VOAD to Host Free Workshop: How to Get Involved

March 7, 2018  1:00 p.m.

Southern Tier/Finger Lakes VOAD (Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster) was developed by the Institute for Human Services in 2014 as a means of discussing disaster recovery. VOAD is a collaboration of agencies that plan for the long-term recovery of disasters or emergencies in Steuben, Chemung, and Schuyler Counties.

Southern Tier VOAD is hosting a free workshop on March 7th at 1:00 p.m. at the Civil Defense Training Center on State Route 54 in Bath, N.Y. 14810.

The purpose of this workshop is to introduce organizations to what VOAD is and how nonprofits can work with and benefit from the efforts of VOAD. Members of the State VOAD Organization and a representative from the New York State Office of Emergency Management Individual Assistance Program will be on hand to assist in walking through any questions that may develop.

Please feel free to invite other agencies that may benefit from this discussion.
