The Institute for Human Services is excited to announce the 11th Annual Jack Lisi Youth Award Fall Reception on Thursday, October 26th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the GST BOCES Coopers Education Center.
The Jack Lisi Youth Award and Scholarship offers financial assistance for additional education, college, college supplies, and work-related materials. Since 1992, The Jack Lisi Youth Award has recognized students age 16 through 21 who embody the values and determination Lisi felt were often overlooked in society. According to the late Angie Lisi, (Jack’s widow) “Jack had compassion, concern, and respect for youth who had problems which hindered their ability to achieve and he felt that often they were not given enough credit. Jack believed that what was needed was someone to care, show support, assistance, and guidance for youngsters to become contributing members of society.”
The goal of the Fall Reception is to raise fund associated with operating and administering the Jack Lisi Award. Without the backing of the Award’s supporters, this opportunity would not be possible. The campaign goal is to raise $4,000! There is no charge to attend the event; however, pledges and donations can be made prior, during, or after the reception.
To reserve your spot at the Reception, please contact Krystle Blencowe at firstname.lastname@example.org or (607) 776-9467 ext. 231.
It is the donor’ generosity that makes this all possible. Without your assistance, it would not be possible to honor the efforts of our young leaders and their families.
