Tanglewood Holiday Hours & Closures

The Nature Center is closed Dec 24-26, and Dec 31-Jan 1. Otherwise, we're open Tuesday-Friday 9-4 and Saturday 10-4 as always around the holidays! 


Nature Center closed for annual building maintenance January 7th-11th. We reopen Saturday January 12th from 10am-4pm. 

Upcoming events:
*Members Only* Owl Walk. Saturday January 12th from 6pm-7pm. Pre-registration required, only FIVE SPOTS LEFT. Free for members. Join Ian for a night hike to call in some of our wild owls. He’ll begin the evening with some info about owl habitats, adaptations, and behavior—then hit the trail! BYO headlamp/flashlight.


Cabin Fever. Saturday February 2nd from 10am-12pm. Pancake breakfast served from 10-10:45am, snowshoe hike to follow at 10:45am. Warm up with hot cocoa and a cozy animal show by the fireplace at 11:30am! Member pricing: $15 for the whole family. Non-member pricing: $20 for the whole family. Space is limited so buy your tickets soon!


*Members Only* Annual Meeting. Saturday February 9th from 1pm-3pm. Sheryl Robinson speaks on “Indigenous Connections - Spirituality, Stewardship & Culture”. Executive Director Elaine Spacher shares the accomplishments in 2018 and what's coming in 2019 for the organization; Morse-Lynn-Brooks volunteer of the year honored. Hors d'oeuvres and drinks included - suggested donation of $10 at the door. 
Owl Walk. Saturday February 16th from 6pm-7pm. Sold out! 
 

Ongoing:
Winter Wiggles! Ian is revamping this classic program - we're keeping the storybook and animal pairing, but expect new crafts, games, and learning Wednesday mornings at 10am :)
Hike, Learn, and Play! The last HLP of the year is this Friday, December 21st at 1pm. HLP will return in the spring for the April-October 2019 season!

We have local delicious honey made by our beekeeper's bees - swing by the nature center to take some home! Want more birdsong in your life? We have feeders, houses, and even some sweet stuffed Audubon birds to cuddle with when it's rainy outside. Stop by the Nuthatch Gift Shop today to explore!
