Myriah Perry, development assistant, was named Associate of the Month for the month of December. Perry was nominated by the Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL) Taskforce for multitasking and effective notetaking. “Myriah very capably uses technology throughout our meetings moving from SharePoint to public files to websites simultaneously, while managing her laptop and taking meeting minutes,” said a CQL Taskforce representative.
Perry, who has been working with the CQL TaskForce for several months, utilizes her expertise and skills to create PowerPoint presentations containing agency information, photos, graphics, and videos. To put it mildly, the group is a talkative one; add to that, the sometimes confusing CQL theory and terminology. Perry skillfully deals with the group discussions and produces minutes that are concise and accurate. This accuracy is essential in maintaining the team’s purpose, workflow and staying on task. The CQL TaskForce has been fortunate to have Perry on their team. She has cheerfully and enthusiastically stepped-up to any challenge that the TaskForce requested.
According to the CQL Taskforce, Perry was also instrumental in gathering feedback in preparation for the CQL Accreditation. Perry took notes during group meetings and provided assistance during the focus groups which were comprised of people supported by The Arc Steuben, associates, family members, and agency supporters. “Myriah maintained confidentially, captured excellent minutes and assisted in the day’s smooth operation,” says a representative of the CQL Taskforce.
