Dormann Library Adult Programs

Wednesday, August 14, 2019

Some activities planned at the Dormann Library for adults to learn some new skills and brush up some old ones in the next few weeks, have been scheduled.

On Monday, Aug. 26, the library is partnering with Nancy Reigelsperger from Cornell Cooperative Extensive for a “Clear the Cutter and Simplify Your Life & Finances” class, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. In this free class you will learn strategies to clear the clutter and find ways to improve your finances at the same time. There will be childcare available for youth aged 4 and up in the library. You can reserve a space by calling 607-776-2300.

Once you have learned how to put everything in order, you can join in a  “Book Stops Here” Book Club meeting that same evening (8/26). We will be meeting at 6 p.m. to discuss Deal Breaker by Harlan Coben.

On Wednesday, Aug. 28, Natasha Snyder will teach adults and teens how to paint a “Street Art Style Galaxy” (look for a sample in the library in the next week). There is no cost to join us for this fun-filled painting class, but pre-registration is required. Call the Dormann Library at 607-776-4613 to reserve your space.

While you are in the Dormann Library, take a moment to enjoy the photos that were featured at the Mossy Bank Photography Contest. They include some talented local photographers and we are sure you will appreciate this artistic look at the local area (and beyond) through their work. The display will be up until the end of the month. hermes birkin
