“On the whole, however, there is no match for 2-1-1 when it comes to providing information and access to human services for people in need. Its one-on-one, interactive human communication is indispensable for helping those who aren’t sure where to turn, what name to attach to their need, or what programs might be available. Because it allows users to describe their concerns in their own words, 2-1-1 is also more able to develop a holistic understanding of callers’ needs in all of their complexity, and, where necessary, to suggest creative alternatives when no programs are available.”

Helpline provides comprehensive information and referral services; Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and crisis referral 24 hrs/day, 7 days/week.
