Allegany County Transit (ACT)

ACT operates public bus services throughout Allegany County, Monday- Friday's. Transportation is available onward to Cattaraugus County on fixed route service and to Steuben County via transfer with Hornell Area Transit. ACT also links with Shortline Buses in Belmont, onward to the Elmira/Binghamton area. Also contracts services with Allegany County Department of Social Services to coordinate and provide transportation for Medicaid services. Medicaid rides must be arranged through Allegany County DSS, Medical Transportation unit. (877-629-8104) |

| Volunteer drivers provide transportation for senior citizens who receive Medicare to medical appointments, grocery store up to 4x a month, pharmacy, ACOFA luncheon center, bank, ACOFA functions, support groups, counseling and local appointments. Must give at least 2 days notice before the trip requested. Donations appreciated. Must be ambulatory. No pets. Rides are not guaranteed, but arranged as volunteers are available. | ||
