IHS: Project Planning and Resource Development

In today's environment, agencies struggle to maintain critical services with daily threats of funding cuts.  The leaner that an agency operates, the harder it is to monitor funders and research grant opportunities, or to create strong plans, applications, or program goals.  IHS Project Planning and Resource Development fills a critical need that agencies cannot meet themselves.  Our shared services include:

  1. Research
    • Search for and analyze public and private funding sources
    • Analyze RFPs to fit your programs
    • Find demographics and statistics for your planning or applications
  2. Writing
    • “Grant Doctor” review of your written proposals
    • Facilitate planning processes and write grant applications
    • Hold grant development trainings and consultations
  3. Planning
    • Strategic planning consultation
    • Review written materials and strategies
    • Comprehensive fund development planning (multi-sourced)

Our services are professional, collaborative, and focused on your mission.

In 2012, the Project Planning and Resource Development department submitted 24 proposals for a total of $3.95 million in requested funding.  To date, with 4 proposals still under review, we've received 12 awards totaling $535,524 in funds.

Since the beginning of the program, in 2000, 183 grant awards have yielded $20.2 million in funds for human service and social service agencies in the Southern Tier.

Testimonials:

"Catholic Charities has benefited, tremendously, from the help of the Resource Development Team.  Much of the work we do to serve our County's  vulnerable population, would not be possible if it were not for the success we have experienced from the Institute's talented grant writers."

"The assistance of the Resource Planning and Development staff has been invaluable in helping the Multidisciplinary Team and Child Advocacy Center in successfully attaining funding from a wide variety of sources. They have also helped to maintain funding so the services offered by the Child Advocacy Center could be  continued, enhanced, and even new services offered. Their help ensures that we are providing the highest level of quality possible for the sensitive cases that we handle. Bill and Kevin are true partners who help wherever they can with their expertise to help us achieve success in every way possible!"
