Steuben Integrated Planning (SIP)
The Steuben Integrated Planning (SIP) process was developed to establish the goals and objectives for the county's service providers for a three year period. SIP is a joint effort of the Steuben County Department of Social Services and the Steuben County Youth Bureau, and is coordinated by the Institute's Resource Planning and Development staff.
This is a truly collaborative effort to identify, evaluate, and improve human services that are provided by public and private agencies within Steuben County. The SIP process includes nearly 100 individuals representing over 25 agencies.
The current "2007-2009 Steuben Child and Family Services Plan" details the goals and objectives for the county's service providers in the following service areas:
- Adult Services
- Child Care [Child Care Appendix G: Updated October, 2009]
- Child Protective
- Children in Placement
- Domestic Violence
- Preventive Intervention and Treatment Services
- Youth Services
- Employment
- Basic Needs
