Age-Friendly Chemung County, a coalition-backed initiative that promotes healthy and active living for people of all ages, is currently accepting applications for its Age-Friendly Business and Organization Designation program.  This program encourages and recognizes local businesses and not-for-profit organizations who are striving to provide easy-to-navigate, respectful, positive and effective experiences and services to our community. 

Snapchat, the video sharing app popular with youth has been a confusing marketing opportunity for many nonprofits. Cornell Cooperative Extension of Steuben County switched up their annual gala event this year into an old-fashioned backyard barbecue aimed at the entire family, and it was a huge success. Groups working to address the causes of poverty in Chemung, Schuyler and Tioga counties (New York) are invited to apply for a Catholic Campaign for Human Development small grant. Proposals are sought for projects benefiting and led by low-income people working together to bring about positive economic and/or social change in their communities.
