Chemung Youth Bureau's JAWS Program looking for Worksites

The Chemung County Youth Bureau’s Juvenile Assigned Work Service Program (JAWS) is currently seeking additional in-door worksites for the 2012 winter/spring season.

Eligible worksites must be not-for-profit, accessible on Saturdays between the hours of 8:30am – 4:00pm, have a contact person available and all work projects must comply with NYS labor standards for youth.

JAWS is a collaborative program between the Chemung County Youth Bureau, Department of Social Services, Probation Department and Family Court designed to provide accountability and consequences to youth currently in the juvenile justice system. Each JAWS work crew maintains 8-10 youth and two (2) adult work crew supervisors employed by the Youth Bureau. The Youth Bureau provides all transportation for the JAWS work crew to and from the work site.
