AIM Independent Living Center's next Learn & Grow Playgroup

Elmira, N.Y. – AIM's Learn & Grow Playgroup is for children ages 2– 5 years old with a developmental disability and their parents. This fun time learning and growing together will provide a monthly opportunity to interact socially with peers improving inclusion, social skill development and fostering creativity.

This is a dually focused playgroup including the parent of the child, with a developmental disability, offering opportunities for the parents to share resources with one another. Including but not inclusive to, requesting disability related speakers and short workshops that will offer early advocacy and disability related information to support and empower parents to advocate on their child’s behalf.

The next event for Learn & Grow Playgroup will be a walk and stroll play group on Saturday, May 26, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon at Eldridge Park. The rain date is Saturday June 2nd, 2012
