Steuben County’s nonprofits need your time and talents!
• Tutors needed for adult literacy. 36 hour training program is being offered in July and a one-year commitment to tutor must be made upon completion of training.
• Volunteers needed to provide financial counseling with Cornell Cooperative Extension. Help community members with budgets, credit ratings, and identity theft. Full training provided.
• Catholic Charities/Turning Point needs a person with a vehicle to work one hour every Wednesday afternoon to pick up donated food from a local business and bring it to the pantry. Must be able to lift and carry boxes.
• Hornell Gardens needs volunteers to assist staff and residents on outings. Many exciting outings have been planned such as Bully Hill Restaurant and Tioga Downs. All expenses paid for volunteers.
