Compassion Fatigue/Vicarious Traumatization

posted 11/29/2010

What do you do at the end of the workday to put difficult client stories away and go home to your friends and family? Compassion fatigue has been described as the “cost of caring” for others in emotional pain (Figley, 1982). The helping field has just begun to realize that workers are profoundly affected by the work they do, whether it is by direct or secondary exposure to traumatic events. This online workshop is developed specifically for individuals in the helping field (nurses, police officers, human service workers, and more!)

Do one thing special for yourself this year and take the compassion fatigue/vicarious traumatization workshop and revitalize your work/life balance!
