Continuing Education Scholarships for Hornell Human Service Workers

posted 7/21/2011

Family Service Society, Inc. is pleased to announce the availability of several “Continuing Education Scholarships for Hornell Human Service Workers”. Each scholarship, made possible through a grant from the Bethesda Foundation, will cover the registration fee to attend one of Family Service Society’s Professional Training Institute workshops to be held in the fall of 2011. We know that human service and social work agencies have been impacted financially by the economy and training budgets have suffered as a result. Therefore we are excited to offer these scholarships to those human service professionals who would otherwise be unable to attend our workshops.

Our upcoming workshops include:

Friday, September 30, 2011

Can We Teach These Kids to Dance? Trauma & Attachment Informed Treatment

Presenter: Kevin Creeden, MA, LMHC

Friday, October 21, 2011

Understanding Children's Sexual Behaviors From Natural and Healthy to Disturbed

Presenter: Toni Cavanagh Johnson, Ph.D.

Wednesday, November 16, 2011

The Ten Best Ever Depression Management Techniques

Presenter: Margaret Wehrenberg, Psy.D.

All of our workshops are high quality education offerings presented by nationally known speakers. Family Service Society, Inc. is an approved provider of continuing education for NBCC and APA. Each workshop is also submitted to OASAS for continuing education approval.

Please complete the attached application and return it to us as soon as possible. All scholarships will be awarded on a first come first served basis to applicants who otherwise would not be able to attend our workshops due to their agency’s budget constraints.

If you have any questions, please contact Janalee Orfanides at 607-962-3148 (Wednesdays) or via email at janalee@stny.rr.com.
