4-H Achievement Night Takes on a Different Look in 2020

Each November the nearly 400 Steuben County 4-H members gather to receive a variety of awards they have earned with their projects throughout the year. But 2020 has made Achievement Night look very different. This year in lieu of an in person gathering, the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Steuben County 4-H/Youth Development Program is recognizing the youth by placing 4-H yard signs in front of every 4-Her’s home.

Keep an eye out around Steuben County for about 250 signs placed in the yards where a 4-H youth lives. The signs were purchased with the generous donations from 27 donors who believe in the power of our youth and the strength of the 4-H program.

Steuben County 4-H/Youth Development Program 4-H staff said, ”We are really excited to see the 4-H yard signs displayed all around Steuben County. We thought this would be a great way to recognize all of the 4-H members and their hard work this year, despite the various changes and challenges they’ve faced due to COVID 19. We cannot thank our generous sponsors enough. Without them this exciting opportunity for the 4-H’ers would not have been possible.”
