Art for the Arc Raises $6,600

BATH | The Arc of Steuben’s Art for the Arc silent auction raised over $6,600 for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The fundraiser, sponsored by Chemung Canal Trust Company, directly benefited The Arc of Steuben Foundation. The Foundation funds grants to The Arc of Steuben programs for needs not funded by other sources including, self-advocacy conferences, training materials, Wish Upon An Arc Star, and more.

The event was held on Saturday, November 9, at the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport. The fundraiser featured a silent auction with more than 80 items from local artists and businesses, as well as, live music by the band Artistic License; sculpting demonstrations; hors d’ouerves by Corning Catering Inc.; tastings from local breweries, distilleries, and wineries; and a food and wine pairing by Experience the Finger Lakes.

The Arc of Steuben currently provides services to more than 950 people in Steuben and surrounding counties. Services include job-readiness training, community employment, residential, transportation, in-home services and respite.
