SCHEDULE: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
SALARY: $26.46
Job Description: This position is responsible for activities in environmental health, which may include inspections, the determination of compliance with the recommendation of a sanitarian or an engineer, and the assembling of data, case reports, preparation of sketches, diagrams, graphs, etc. Work is performed under the direction of the Senior Environmental Health Specialist. Does related work as required.
QUALIFICATIONS: (A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered four (4) year college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Municipal or Environmental Engineering or a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or any physical science; or
(B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered two (2) year college or university with an Associate’s Degree in Engineering Science, Chemistry, Biology, or any physical science and two (2) years of experience working with water systems.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a New York State Class D driver’s license at time of appointment.
