Dormann Library Dot Day Celebrates Power of Creativity
It is time to make your mark and see where it takes you. It starts with just one dot. The Dormann Library is going “dotty” starting on Friday, September 11. If you have never read the children’s book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds, you are in for a treat! Miss Kathleen will be reading this inspirational story about the power of creativity during her virtual Discovery Kids story time program on Facebook to kick off the celebration of all things round (like a dot).
In celebration of National Dot Day (September 15), we will be offering all kinds of activities during the week of September 14 through September 18. Some of them will be found on-line and there will be a few select activities at the library (grab and go kits will be available if you feel more comfortable participating from home).
We invite you to get a little “spotty” with us by posting a dot at your home or place of business. We hope that the youth in our community will enjoy trying to find them around town, in addition to finding naturally occurring dots (think traffic lights).
To end the week, the Dormann Library will be hosting an evening program outside on Friday. September 18. Yes, it involves dots – think steering wheels and headlights, but you will have to check out our Facebook page to learn more! We hope to see you “around” the library soon.
