The Dormann Library is wrapping up our dragon-themed month with an opportunity for teens (aged 14 +) and adults to make a felt dragon. Stop in on Monday, September 20 and work on it at the library from 4:00pm to 6:00pm or grab a kit and work on it on your own time. No registration is needed, but supplies are limited.

The Dormann Library Board of Trustees will meet on Tuesday, September 21 at 5:00pm. The public is invited to attend.

We are preparing for the spooky season with a showing of the movie Crimson Peak on Friday, September 24 at 7:00pm. The story, set in Victorian era England, follows an aspiring author who travels to a remote Gothic mansion in the English hills with her new husband and his sister. There, she must decipher the mystery behind the ghostly visions that haunt her new home. This movie is rated R and runs 1 Hour 59 minutes. This is an adult only (17+) movie night at the Dormann. Of course, we will have free popcorn!

Keeping with the gothic horror vibe, the Book Club at the Dormann Library is currently reading Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia and will be discussing it on Monday, September 27 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. The book is a gothic horror story set in 1950’s Mexico. It centers on a young woman investigating her cousin’s claims that her husband is trying to murder her. We hope that you give the book at try and share your thoughts with us. Our motto at Book Club is, “We don’t shame you if you didn’t finish the book!”
