Dormann Library August 2020 Update

It has come to our attention that many folks in the community are not aware that the Dormann Library is back open for business. We are offering modified hours and services and a few things have changed.

All library returns must be placed in the book drop prior to entering the library in observance of our quarantine procedures. Items are taking longer to discharge because they are quarantined for 96 hours before being placed back on the shelves. We would be happy to look into renewing your items over the phone, but we ask that you do not bring them to the library with you.

The current hours at the Dormann Library are as follows: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Tuesday and Thursday, we will be open from noon to 7 p.m. While we prefer that our patrons make an appointment to use the library, we will do our best to accommodate walk-ins. Every one entering the library needs to wear a mask. We are still offering Curbside Pickup service for library materials for those who prefer a no contact experience.

Access to public computers will be limited due to social distancing guidelines. We are still offering printing, copying, faxing, and scanning services to our patrons.

The Book Barn at the Dormann Library is also now open daily for business on the following days and times: Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Tuesday & Thursday from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. We are using a “Pay as You Please” system and will be accepting a goodwill donation for the items that you select.

We are not accepting any donations of books or other materials at this time, so whatever you take home with you, please do not bring back when you are finished!

Please contact the library if you have any questions. Appointments can be made by calling the Dormann Library at 607-776-4613.
