Dormann Library Offering Curbside Service Only

In the interest of public safety for the community and our staff, the Dormann Library is moving back to providing only curbside service starting on Monday, December 14 and hopefully, ending on January 19. Given the rising number of COVID cases in Steuben County, we feel that this is the safest way for us to continue providing services.

Materials can be requested through our online catalog or by phoning in your request. We are limiting requests to ten items per card. You will need to have a library card or a photo identification to pick up your items.

Please call us at 607-776-4613 to arrange a time to pick up your items. Our hours are not changing at this time. We are currently open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10am to 5pm. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, our hours are noon to 7pm. Items can be picked up until 15 minutes before closing.

When you arrive at the library call us to let us know you are here. If you do not have a phone, you can ring the tan door buzzer located to the right of our parking lot side door on the brick column.

If you want a contact free delivery, please show us your identification through your car window. Staff will place your items in the trunk after you pop it open.

If you come to the door, we will ask to see your identification and ask you to move away while we put your items on a cart that will be beside the door. We ask that you please stay a minimum of 6 feet away from library staff and wear a mask.

We will still offer some limited services at this time: faxing, copying, and wireless printing. Please call us if you have any questions about these services.

Please do not bring any items back to the library for renewal. Renewals can be done over the phone or online. All returning materials need to be placed in the book drop. All items coming into the library are then quarantined for 96 hours before they are removed from your library account. No fines will accrue during this time.

We know that this a challenging time for everyone. The staff of the Dormann Library thanks you for your patience and understanding while we take these steps to do what we can to keep our community safe
