Dormann Library Partnering with the Science and Discovery Center

BATH, NY | The Dormann Library is partnering with the Science & Discovery Center of Corning to offer science-based programs for youth in the Bath community. Our first offering will be for pre-school aged children and will focus on static electricity. Craft kits to make static electricity butterflies are available at the library and can be picked up during the library’s regular business hours (Monday through Friday: 10am to 6pm and 10am to 2pm on Saturdays).

We will be premiering an instructional video on Friday, March 5 to go along with the craft kit. The video will be available for viewing from March 5 through Friday, March 19. Since the library is not yet offering in-person programming, please contact the Dormann Library for information on how to watch the program. You can email Tara Didrence at or send a message on Facebook and you will be given the password to view the video.

Look for more collaborative programs between the Dormann Library and the Science & Discovery Center in the up-coming months. Our motto has always been that reading is cool. You know what else is cool? Science!
