The Dormann Library has some awesome things planned for the spookiest month of all. Starting on Tuesday, October 5, we are hosting a Story Crafter Time from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. No sign-up is required for this program geared for those in Kindergarten to fourth grade. Since it is getting close to Halloween, you can expect a story about a shy ghost, a pun-filled book about some skeletons, and some easy crafts that should include a treat or two!

On October 6, the Dormann Library is hosting a TED Talk Time for adults starting at 6:00pm. We will listen to two talks on the topic of fear. The first video will feature fiction writer Karen Thompson Walker exploring the connection between fear and the imagination with a talk entitled “What Fear Can Teach Us.” The second video we will watch is “Why You Should Define Your Fears Instead of Your Goals” presented by Tim Ferriss, an early-stage tech investor, best-selling author and podcaster. We hope that these video will spark a conversation between our audience members, at least until the program ends at 7:00pm!

Rounding out the week will be a 7:00pm showing of the movie Coco (PG /1 Hour 45 Minutes) on Friday, October 8. As always, we will supply the popcorn! Hope you will join us at the Dormann Library to get your October off to a scary start!
