Catholic Charities Presents Virtual Empty Bowls
October 29 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pmDonation
ELMIRA, NY – Catholic Charities invites you to the 15th Annual Empty Bowls Luncheon being held on Thursday, October 29, 2020,from noon to 1 pm via Zoom. As the largest fundraiser for Catholic Charities’ Emergency Services, this event is designed to raise awareness of the effects of hunger and poverty in our community. Empty Bowls is unique in that it is a collaboration with local potters to create handmade, commemorative bowls for each attendee who donates$40 or more. Catholic Charities has also partnered with Barb & Mark McClure, owners of McClure’s NY Deli in Elmira, to offer guests delicious homemade soup via a gift certificate. It’s the perfect combination of excellent food, beautiful bowls, and a worthy cause.
Tickets are $40/person for lunch and a commemorative soup bowl created by a local art student. Get your tickets today as a limited number will be sold. For more information, contact Catholic Charities at 607-734-9784, ext. 2133,or visit the event page at cs-cc.org.
Bowls and gift certificates for soup may be picked up on October 28,from 1pm-4pm at the side door of the Elmira Community Kitchen (160 High St, Elmira). Catholic Charities’ Executive Director, Nancy Koons, will be on hand to distribute bowls and answer any questions you may have about Catholic Charities. Masks are required.
