Join Cornell Cooperative Extension of Steuben County (CCE-Steuben) for a fun evening on Friday, November 12 with TRIVIA led by Bob Smith of Bulldog Sounds DJ Services being the highlight of the night! Kara Mackey, owner and head distiller of Barrelhouse 6 Distillery in Hammondsport will be speaking on the challenges of procuring heirloom/organic/native grown raw materials. CCE Steuben will be celebrating their annual Friends of Extension, sharing a tasty dinner prepared by Timberstone Grill, and offering some great prizes and raffles. The evening program will feature the team trivia event called “Putting Knowledge to Work (and Play)” with prizes for the winners.
This year’s CCE-Steuben Friends of Extension winners are:

The dinner event will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Barrelhouse 6 Distillery, 9558 Middle Road, Hammondsport. Trivia teams are invited to reserve their space by calling 607-664-2300 or online at bit.ly/ccedinner21. Teams of up to six persons will be accepted. The ticket price of $50 per person will include hors’doerves, dinner provided by Timberstone Grill, and all the fun that Bob Smith of Bulldog Sounds DJ Services provides with his trivia events. Tickets can be reserved by calling 607-664-2300 or purchased online at bit.ly/ccedinner21. Those reserving dinner tickets are not required to play trivia, but they may want to join in all the fun once they get there. Either way you will be learning some fun new facts.
CCE Steuben will be following COVID-19 requirements as laid out by the CDC, NYSDOH and Steuben County Public Health.
This fundraising event benefits the four program areas of CCE-Steuben’s mission. Cornell Cooperative Extension is a statewide network of non-profit Associations providing hands-on, research-based educational programs for farmers, families and youth to empower them to make a positive difference in their lives and communities. Our programs span every discipline like providing the latest research to assist our farmers with producing the best crops possible, offering financial budgeting assistance to families in need, teaching food stamp recipients how to best stretch their food dollar while eating healthier, and encouraging our youth through 4-H programs to be better citizens.
