The Dormann Library is taking flight this month with some activities for youth and families in February. Stop in on the first of February and pick up our newest Spice Club offering while supplies last. Hopefully this latest spice will help keep you warm as the temperature drops!
We also have some Grab & Go Craft kits that will be going out on Thursday, February 3rd for youth (5 to 8). They will receive everything that they need to make a Pinecone Bird Feeder. We have some non-peanut butter options available too for those with allergies. Tweens (9 to 12) can pick up their Grab & Go Craft kits on Thursday, February 10. They will be able to make some awesome bird flyers with their materials. As always, one per person while supplies last.
If in-person programming is more your thing, we will have the youth (5-8) and tweens (9-12) coming in to make yarn wrapped bird pictures on Monday, February 7th from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. We would like to have the youth and tweens pre-register for this program, so we know how many to expect. You can register through our Facebook page, calling the Dormann Library at 607-776-4613, or by stopping it.
Join us at the Dormann Library on Saturday, February 5 for our celebration of “Take Your Child to the Library Day!” From noon to 1:30pm, we will be enjoying all kinds of activities around the theme of building – blocks, sandwiches, and even relationships (to books that is). Miss Kathleen will be sharing a story at 12:30 and kids can even take home a free book to build up their own libraries. They can also take home a birdhouse kit (while supplies last). Hope you can come for a visit that will be filled with stories, snacks, and games, and build some lasting memories for the family!
The Dormann Library is tweeting out the news that youth and tweens can come to the library on Monday, February 7th from 3:00pm to 4:00pm to make a yarn wrapped bird. Call us at 607-776-4613 to save your space now.
