Home Based Home Visitor – Addison Area (Full Time)

Pro Action of Steuben and Yates, Inc. is the Community Action Agency for Steuben and Yates Counties, working to combat the causes and conditions of poverty at the local level. Home Based Home Visitor – Addison Area – Pro Action’s Resilient Children and Families Programming is seeking a professional, caring and compassionate individual with an understanding of early childhood development to work with children and their families.

This is a full year, full time (37.5 hours per week) position, eligible for benefits including health, dental and vision insurance and a retirement plan with employer contributions. We offer generous paid time off, sick leave, and paid holidays.

The Home Visitor position requires the minimum of a home-based CDA credential or equivalent coursework as part of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree. Excellent organizational/time management skills and flexibility are requirements of this position. A driver’s license meeting agency standards and consistent, reliable transportation are required.

Responsibilities of the Home Visitor include recruiting and enrolling eligible children and families, providing educational activities for pregnant women, infants, toddlers and preschool age children in a home setting, supporting family engagement in their child’s development, and supporting families in a goal setting process and accessing additional resources.
