Executive Director Job Announcement
The Board of Directors of The Institute for Human Services, Inc., seeks a resourceful, creative and visionary Executive Director to oversee the nonprofit member organization providing management support services, information and referral and capacity building services for the regional nonprofit sector in the Southern Tier of New York State.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for implementing the strategic goals and objectives of the organization, developing and maintaining sound financial practices, and enabling the Board of Directors to fulfill its governance function. The candidate will provide direction and leadership toward the achievement of the organization’s philosophy, mission, strategy and annual goals and objectives.
The successful applicant must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant field with 3 years of related experience. Must have proven supervisory, management and financial experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively manage financials, agency programs and marketing/media relations required. Must have knowledge of the Human Services, Education, Public and/or Health Care Sector.
