Center Based Home Visitor – Penn Yan Area – Part Time
Part-Time Center Based Home Visitor – Penn Yan Area – Pro Action’s Resilient Children and Families Home Visiting Program is seeking a part-time Home Visitor to work with families of enrolled children in Yates County.
This is a 20-hour per week position that is based on the school calendar year schedule. This position receives paid time off, sick time and paid holidays and is eligible to participate in our retirement plan with employer contributions.
The requirements for the Home Visitor include (at hire or within 18 months of hire), a minimum of a certification or credential in social work, human services, family service, counseling or a related field. An applicable degree or a Family Development Credential is preferred. Must have excellent organizational and time management skills and flexibility. Must have a driver’s license that meets agency standards and reliable transportation. Must pass required background screenings.
The Home Visitor is responsible for recruiting and enrolling eligible children and families, completing home visits with program participants, providing parent education and family engagement opportunities, supporting families in a goal setting process and accessing additional resources and assisting with activities in the classroom as needed.
