Pathways Seeks Residence Counselors (Direct Care Workers) in Corning/Elmira area
Pathways, Inc. established in 1976 is a not-for-profit human service organization serving approximately 2000 individuals and families across the Finger Lakes, Southern Tier, and Rochester, New York regions by providing an array of services through our core programs.
Responsibilities: The Residence Counselor provides personal care to individuals with developmental disabilities, works with individual to meet their service plan engaging them in social/recreational activities, ongoing teaching on daily living skills, money management, transporting individual(s) in company vans/small buses, answering any emotional/behavioral needs the individual has, and ensuring overall health and well-being of individual.
Qualifications: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have verbal and written communication skills, a valid driver’s license that meets agency requirements, must meet Tuberculosis screening requirements, and pass a background check (Criminal Convictions, Child Abuse Clearance, and Abuse/Neglect).
