Project Care Van Driver – Steuben County Office for Aging

Use your driving skills and people skills to help Steuben County senior citizens maintain their independence.  This part-time position offers a flexible, schedule (Wednesdays off, no evenings or weekends!), multiple paid holidays and generous paid time off and paid sick leave.

The Project Care Van Driver will work up to 20 hours per week transporting senior citizens for grocery shopping and errands in Steuben County.  The van driver will be responsible for the development of driving routes, record keeping and assisting with the promotion of the program.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and/or one to three months of related experience and/or training.  An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.  Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with the senior population.  Experience working with the senior population is a plus.

The Project Care Van Driver must have a valid driver’s license that meets agency standards and must pass required background and DMV checks.  Must have and maintain a clean driving record.  This position is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing under the terms and conditions of Pro Action’s Drug Free Workplace Policy.
