PATHWAYS - Kids' Adventure Club Offers Remote Learning Option
New Kids’ Adventure Club Remote Learning Childcare Option

Corning, NY — The Kids’ Adventure Club (KAC) program offers a new program for school-age youth in Kindergarten through age 12 years. KAC at the Village Square now offers a full-day childcare option during remote/virtual learning days, Monday through Friday at 104 Village Square in Painted Post. Children outside of the Corning-Painted Post School District are eligible for this program.

Kids’ Adventure Club is offering this new program to help parents with childcare coverage for their school-age children during remote/virtual learning days. School-age children must be Kindergarten through age 12. Parents will choose from two staggered drop off and pick up times, 7:30 am–4:30 pm or 8:00 am–5:00 pm. KAC follows the Corning-Painted Post School District Schedule for holidays and emergency closures. The operation of the KAC at the Village Square program will continue to be offered should schools close to in-person instruction.

KAC at the Village Square offers daily rates of $30, with no full-week commitment necessary. Enrollment applications are accepted continuously, while spaces are available.

Youth will follow the school schedule provided by their parent for the hours of 8:30 am–3:00 pm, with an opportunity for crafts and activities at the end of the day. Children must bring a school-issued computer, learning materials, earbuds/headphones, and chargers. Supervision and support for remote learning will be provided, but support does not include academic instruction. Each child will have their own individual desk to work at for the day (spaced 6ft apart), and group sizes are limited to 15 children with no intermingling.

Health screenings will be done for children and staff every day upon arrival. Masks are required. An enhanced cleaning and sanitizing regimen will be maintained, as well as proper hand hygiene for kids and staff. The Kids’ Adventure Club program is governed by NYS Department of Health and Office of Children and Family Services guidelines.
