We join you, your families, your neighbors, your friends and your loved ones in paying very close attention to the ever evolving details around the Coronavirus/COVID-19. We have been monitoring the recommendations of national, state and local officials throughout the last several days – each of the forty-nine counties in our Upstate New York service area are feeling effects that seem to be changing minute-by-minute.
We are also vigilantly mindful that so many in our Komen community are at an increased risk – the transfer of germs and social distancing are already part of the day-to-day struggle for so many.
But the breast cancer community overcomes struggles and rises up to challenges each and everyday – and we know that today will be no different.
We encourage one another, we support one another, we rally to meet the needs of those who could use a helping hand, a kind word or a thoughtful check-in.
Even with uncertainty and unpredictability around what might come next, we want you to know that we are here for you – no one fights alone. We made a promise to be bold in our fight against breast cancer – and together, we are prepared to press ahead with caution. But, we are altering what that looks like based on the safety and well-being of our entire Komen community.
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW:
- We have transitioned all staff to work from home until at least mid-April. We are actually well prepared for this move, as we have been working hard to migrate to a cloud-based environment for efficiency purposes.
